One hundred cyclists turned up last Sunday (10th May) to take part in the first ever Allsop100 cycle challenge in aid of Childline.

Amongst them were some of the leading personalities in the Irish property and professional services sectors, who set off from Lansdowne RFC at 8.30am to take on the 100 kilometre cycle throughout Wicklow. Despite some changeable weather en route, all one hundred cyclists completed the course in just over four hours.

Thanks to the efforts and commitment from all those who took part, and the generous support of all the sponsors, the event is well on its way to reaching its target of €100,000 in funding for Childline.

The Allsop100 was very much a family day with international rugby player and Allsop brand ambassador, Ian Madigan hosting a rugby coaching session for our future rugby stars, while the cyclists were clocking up the kilometres. There was face painting and games for the younger children and afterwards all involved came together for a most enjoyable BBQ.

It is clear from the success of the day and the feedback received that the Allsop100 will now be an annual fixture in Ireland’s property industry social calendar.

Ian Madigan Appointed Brand Ambassador for Allsop

Childline do very important work for children throughout the county and your effort to raise funding will allow this great work to continue. On behalf of all the Allsop team we thank you for your time and commitment to supporting the Allsop100.”
